Freedom Isn’t Free: Independence Day Devotion & Activities for Children

I found a website that has a great devotion for children of any age (easily adaptable to be age-appropriate to any child) about Independence Day. The Scripture used is Hebrews 9:15 – “For this reason Christ is the mediator of a new covenant, that those who are called may receive the promised eternal inheritance–now that he has died as a ransom to set them free from the sins committed under the first covenant.”

If you scroll to the bottom of the devotion (included in the link below), there are lots of activities that can be used with this devotion, including a coloring page and a crossword puzzle. There’s also a great Powerpoint presentation you could incorporate with your family devotion as well:

Thank you, thank you to all of those who serve our country. We are so grateful for the freedom we have here in America! Thank you, Lord, for giving us a freedom beyond this world – thank you for freeing us from the bondage of sin and promising eternal life to all who believe!

Hope everyone has a safe and blessed 4th tomorrow!
